AL PASTOR
Pineapple-marinated pork from the trompo, hand-cut to order, cilantro, onion, fresh lime. The signature.
A late-night walk-up taqueria at the end of Cazador Street, open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from five-thirty in the afternoon until midnight. Trompo de pastor, carnitas, bistec, lengua.
Tacos Cazador is the walk-up at the end of Cazador Street, the kind of stand that lights up Friday night with a trompo, a comal, and a line that wraps around the block by ten.
We do trompo al pastor, slow-cooked carnitas, charred bistec, and the lengua that brings people back from across the city. Hand-pressed tortillas, salsa rojo and salsa verde mixed fresh every night.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only. Five-thirty to midnight. Cash or card. The taco run is part of the night.
"Cazador is the late-night spot in LA. Two years going every Friday at eleven and the line is always worth it. Trompo al pastor, hand-pressed tortillas. Pure midnight gold."
"Walked up on a Saturday at eight and was eating the best lengua of my life by 8:18. The pastor is no joke. The salsa verde is no joke. Coming back next Friday."
"Bring my crew here every Saturday night before the bar. Four guys, sixteen tacos, eighty bucks and the night is made. Cazador never misses."
